Cuban Reggaetón Print Edition 2 of 10 standard paper size A3
Cuban Reggaetón
Reggaetón was banned by the Cuban government, yet, artists spread their songs through El Paquete, an offline file sharing system that was disseminated all over Cuba weekly. I photographed the stars of Cubatón in the years I lived in Havana, 2015-2016.
Pictured here, the crowd of a V.I.P. section at Cabaret Guanimar in East Havana at a Chacal y Yakarta concert in 2015. Lavish concerts are a sign of wealth in Cuba.
